by Rev. David Harriss, St. Michael’s UMC

It is an honor to share the good news. Pastor Sandy Johnson, a longtime member of St. Michael’s United Methodist Church (UMC), and a chaplain for Hospice of Havasu in Lake Havasu, AZ, graduated from the Claremont School of Theology local pastor course of study program this past Saturday, July 7th.

A few members from St. Michael’s UMC, including myself and my family, Sandy’s family from Ohio, along with Pastor Rob Lee of Hope UMC were with Sandy sharing in this joyous occasion. There were a total of 10 graduates and the ceremony was a wonderful opportunity to praise God with the Tongan and Fiji chorus singing for us. The graduates were a beautiful display of inclusiveness, and we were all blessed to have been a part of their great accomplishment.

Please join me in congratulating Sandy and the rest of the graduates, and help me send them forth with the blessing of our Lord and Savior as they move forward, teaching the Love of Christ.
