East District Day of Learning

“Go, make disciples!” These are words we find in the gospel of Matthew, but how do we make disciples in this day and age? You are invited to an exciting journey as we engage in learning about what it might like to make disciples today, beginning with our own journey of transformation.

As I visit in our East District Churches there are some major themes I hear over and over again:

  • In this day, is spiritual vitality meaningful, and if so, how do I engage in a journey of spiritual renewal in a way that is truly transformative?
  • All of my friends are already in a church, so how do I make connections with people that has any chance of touching their life with the grace of Jesus Christ?
  • How do we share God’s love with a younger generation?
  • Is there a way to encourage people to intentionally grow as a disciple of Christ?
  • How do I handle things when disciples disagree with one another?
  • How do disciples have difficult conversations, especially if we want to engage in being agents of transformation in our world?

If you have been asking these or similar questions, you will want to make participation in our East District Day of Learning a priority in your schedule.

We are excited to announce that Brian McLaren, author of our District devotional book, We Make the Road by Walking, will be our keynote speaker. McLaren will join us by live-stream and then stay with us for one of the workshops offered, where you will have the opportunity to interact with him directly.

Sign up today for a Day of Learning that will impact the culture in your congregation and in your community. Let us work together to make disciples of Jesus Christ, for the transformation of the world.

Praying for a powerful time together.

Blessings,

N Susan Brims Signature
