In sadness, we share the news that Mr. Ben Sarracino died on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Ben faithfully served the United Methodist Federal Credit Union for 15 years.
When he spoke to congregations, the focus was not about money but rather about the big picture of bringing hope to communities through good stewardship. He lived by the three simple rules of Methodism: He did good. He tried to do no harm. And, he loved God.
He is survived by his long-time beloved soul-mate, Betty James; his children, Moses, Benjamin, Brian and Brittany Sarracino; six grandchildren; his mother M.J. Carrillo; his siblings: Lucille Sterling, Rachel Sarracino and Robin Sarracino and Val Sarracino. He was preceded in death by his father Nabor Sarracino.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 4140 N. Miller Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251 with a reception immediately following. Guests have been asked to wear red for the services as it was Ben’s favorite color.
