Plan to attend workshops, select two from:

Transforming Partnerships
Rev. Brian Kemp-Schlemmer
Pastor at City Square UMF

Who are the people in your community? What do the want? What do the need? What might your church have to offer them and how might you overcome Christianity’s credibility deficit in the minds of many non-church folk? The good news is, we’re not the only ones asking these questions. Join an ongoing conversation about building partnerships that will truly benefit your church, your neighbors, and your community.

Tools for Transition
Rev. Dr. William M. Lyons
Designated Conference Minister
Southwest Conference UCC

Eighty percent of change efforts fail. Learn the skills that will help you grow more of what you want and overcome the competing commitments that hold you back.

Contemplative Prayer
Rev. Rock Fremont
Associate Pastor at Central UMC

This Introduction to Centering Prayer is a presentation of the discipline of Centering Prayer as silent communion with God beyond concepts, words and images. The workshop includes instruction on the method of Centering Prayer in our time together. Centering Prayer, also known as contemplative prayer, is the prayer of silence and listening. This is the aim given by the Psalmist “Be still and know that I am God.”

Single Board Governance
Rev. Neil Leftwich
West District Superintendent

The traditional committee structure of the church challenges small membership churches. This design offers a streamlined structure to empower greater ministry.

All In The Family- Including those with Special Needs into the Body of Christ
Jennifer McCutcheon
M.A. In Christian Education

In the Great Commission, Christ called all of us to go and make disciples, but does that really include everyone? Join me for a time of learning about the unique needs of people with autism and other challenges. Spend time in conversation with others and gather information on how our churches can plan for including special needs individuals and their families into our ministries.

How to make a significant impact on the injustice of Human Trafficking
Rev. Dot Saunders-Perez
Minister of Spiritual Formation at Dayspring UMC

Trafficking is moral injustice. Pornography is part of the trafficking world. Justice system is focused on the enslaved not on the users or employers. Learn how to make a significant impact on the injustice of Human Trafficking

Inappropriate Behaviors and How to Stop Them from Wrecking Your Church
Rev. Anthony Tang
Director of Connectional Ministries

Our shared goal is to balance unconditional love with clear boundaries in ways that equip our community to experience life changing, healthy choices for our churches and for our families. We’ll discuss practical and easy changes that can make huge differences! Whether you’re a pastor, lay leader, Sunday school teacher, or parent, join us.
