by | Jan 11, 2017 | East District Newsletter, West District Newsletter

500 years since the Protestant Reformation in 1517

YOU are invited to join Bishop Olmsted of the Diocese of Phoenix and Bishop Talmage of the Grand Canyon Synod ELCA during the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity for prayer and reflection on the theme Toward Greater Communion: Reflecting on the Reformation after 500 years as Roman Catholics, Lutherans and other people of faith will come together to pray and hear from two nationally known ecumenical leaders how our relationships are very different today, and how God may be leading us “towards communion.”

Fr. John Crossin, from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Rev. Lowell Almen, from the ELCA, will be sharing their experiences and vision.

All are invited! There is no charge or expected donation for this event.
