United Methodist Communications is asking for photos from churches for the new United Methodist Handbook and other UMCom projects of local and Annual Conference ministries that reflect the following:

  • What it means to be a connectional church
  • United Methodists: A Connected Church …
  • United Methodists believe …
  • Rooted in God’s grace … (United Methodist Heritage)
  • Vital congregations common characteristics …
  • United Methodists around the world …
  • Where the U.S. local church expense dollars go …
  • Gratitude and generosity …
  • What is connectional giving? …
  • Glossary of selected United Methodist terms …

If you would like to submit your photos, please do so using this link:

Or tag dscumc via Instagram so we can access your ministry pics.

Please include the following information for each photo:

  • Name of event (what is going on)
  • Location (or name of church)
  • City and State
  • Name of the main subject in the photo
  • Name of photographer

Photos should show diversity in subject matter, age, gender, ethnicity, and majority culture. They are hoping to use as many local church photos as possible. In addition, the Desert Southwest Conference will add your photos to the Conference Flickr account at: www.flickr.com/photos/dscumc.
