The Rev. N. Susan Brims, Superintendent of the East District, announced that Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata has appointed Rev. David Wasson ¾ part-time to The Orontes Project, a unique partnership between the Desert Southwest Conference and North Scottsdale United Methodist Church in Scottsdale, Arizona effective February 16, 2017 per paragraph 346.2 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. Rev. Wasson will continue to serve ¼ part-time as associate pastor at North Scottsdale UMC. Effective July 1, 2017, Bishop Hoshibata intends to appoint Rev. Wasson full time to The Orontes Project.

Leah Bergstrom as interim part-time associate pastor for congregational care at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church in Scottsdale, Arizona effective February 16, 2017 in accordance with paragraph 346.1 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. Rev. Bergstrom is a retired member of the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference.
