Some basics about invitation

by | Feb 28, 2017 | North District Newsletter, North District Web Page

  1. Less than 20% of people regularly attend worship anywhere – there  are plenty people to invite
  2. More than 80% of people who come to a church do so because someone invites, picks up and brings them (all three actions, not just one!)
  3. More than 2/3 of un-churched people would accept an invitation if asked.
  4. But only 2% of church members invite someone

So the bottom line is this:  There are people who are ready and waiting to be invited and the only obstacle is our reluctance, fear and uncertainty.  We can overcome all of those feelings with prayer and action.
