Time is running out to make arrangements for youth at Annual Conference in June. They need to be registered by April 1.

The Conference Council on Youth Ministries (CCYM) will send one delegate to Annual Conference. Each of the four districts is allowed to send one delegate and one observer. Historically, students from a district have been funded in thirds: 1/3 district, 1/3 local church, and 1/3 family or local church.

Each district must contact Cynthia Satchel (csatchel@dscumc.org) in the Conference office before April 1, with the names of your Youth Delegates and observers to Annual Conference.

Additionally, youth who will have completed grades 8 thru 12, are invited to join the youth delegates at Annual Conference. If you know of a young person who was not elected by his/her district, but is particularly interested in the business of the church, would like to share a room with youth delegates, and would like to join us for evening sessions during Annual Conference, that person is welcome to register as part of the group of youth at the Conference.

All youth, including children of clergy and/or 18-year-olds, who attend in that capacity, are asked to participate fully as part of the group and to complete the proper health and permission forms. Youth who are not registered as CCYM or district delegates and observers must contact Kim Ogle, Conference Youth Coordinator (kim@umcstmarks.org). Include the young person’s name, date of birth, church, phone number, and email address.
