Prayer Requests March 25-31

Rev. Bill Usher

Prayers are requested for retired clergy, Rev. Bill Usher, who last served at Griffith UMC in the North District. Rev. Usher’s wife, Donna, died on Friday, March 24, 2017. She suffered a massive stroke on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

A memorial service will be held at Canyon Creek Presbyterian church on April 30, 2017, from 3:00–5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Donna Usher to Methodist Children’s Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco, TX 76708.

Condolences may be sent to Rev. Bill Usher at 740 Vinecrest Ln, Richardson, TX 75080-3128.

Rev. Angie McCarty

Prayers are requested for Rev. Angie McCarty, pastor at Santa Cruz Valley UMC, Sahuarita in the South District. Rev. McCarty’s father, Skip Bass, died yesterday, March 29, 2017. His memorial service will take place on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Tempe First UMC, 215 E University Dr, Tempe, AZ 85281.

Rev. Richard Jones

Prayers are requested for Rev. Richard Jones, Associate Pastor at Catalina UMC, Tucson, in the South District. Rev. Jones’ daughter and daughter-in-law were in a car accident on Sunday evening. His daughter, Bethany Bones, fractured her pelvis, and his daughter-in-law, Heather, suffered broken ribs. Please keep Rev. Jones and his family in your prayers as they heal and recuperate. Cynthia Holly

Prayers are requested for Cynthia Holly, South District Administrative Assistant. Cynthia’s father, Gene Payne, died today, March 26, 2017. Cynthia is with her family in Oklahoma. Please keep Cynthia and her family in your prayers during this difficult time. (Published on March 26)
