Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata has announced his intention to appoint the Rev. Dr. Dottie Escobedo-Frank as Senior Pastor of Catalina UMC in Tucson, AZ, effective July 1, 2017.  Rev. Dr. Escobedo-Frank is currently serving her third year as the South District Superintendent. In announcing the appointment, Bishop Bob shared, “Rev. Escobedo-Frank has served with distinction and will be missed on the Cabinet. Although I am not eager for Rev. Escobedo-Frank to leave the Cabinet, from time to time, the need for leadership in local churches must be balanced with the needs of the Cabinet. Dottie has brought her knowledge and experience to the Cabinet and has graced us with her creativity and her ability to inspire vitality especially in the South District.  I have appreciated her gracious leadership as Superintendent and as Dean of the Appointive Cabinet. She will offer the congregation at Catalina her many strong gifts for vital ministry.” Please pray for Rev. Dr. Escobedo-Frank and her family during this time of transition.
