Many outstanding ministries not only take place in the communities in our Desert Southwest Conference, but in our global community, as well. Congregations are doing good work as we remember that “the world is our parish.” One such ministry led by Pastor Surafel Gebretsadik of Maranatha United Methodist Fellowship is Hope for the Hopeless, which ministers to the street children of Ethiopia. If you would like to learn more, visit their website, Hope4Hopeless.org.

Come join Hope for the Hopeless for an evening of good food and laughs all while supporting a wonderful cause, the street children of Ethiopia, through Hope for the Hopeless on Friday, October 27 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 11735 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.

The hit show Late Nite Catechism has played to audiences internationally for many years. Written by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan, this show will take you back to the days of the traditional Catholic schools. Well, maybe not that traditional! Whether or not you are Catholic, you, as a member of the audience, will become a student in a hilarious adult catechism class. Late Nite Catechism is a sharp satire but never mean. Each performance is unique and will appeal to people of all ages and faiths.

Dinner will be composed of a variety of tasty traditional Ethiopian dishes.

All profits will go directly to help children in Hope for the Hopeless. Click here for tickets.
