December 8, 2017, United Methodist Communications will be in Phoenix to lead a hands-on workshop for creating a website, transferring an existing WordPress website to UMC Churches WordPress, and marketing principles for effective websites. We have 18 churches registered to participate. The location of the training will be at the Conference office since it is a central location and participants are somewhat evenly distributed throughout the Conference.
- North – 3 churches
- East – 3 churches
- South – 6 churches
- West – 6 churches
If your church is participating in this training and hoping to take advantage of the website grant, you’ll need to complete the following before the December 8th workshop.
- Fill out the grant application.
- Create a domain name through www.umcchurches.org. This can take a few days so it’s important to get this taken care of sooner rather than later.
- Arrive at the Conference office approximately 30 minutes early to ensure you have logged in.
