Presenter: Will Randolph, Director of Aging and Older-Adult Ministries

Worship is fundamental to the life and experience of any faith community’s practicing members and a central part of our faith formation and maturing process. Most of us evolve over time in our worship desires and abilities. As we do so, we discover that older adults— including baby boomers— worship differently. This webinar focuses upon the spiritual needs of the various generations of older adults and the differences in their preferred worship styles. It is designed to help church leaders whose congregations have large numbers of older adults and baby boomers. It will help them understand how to best design worship to engage boomers and older adults. Included in this webinar is information about how boomers have changed worship and a projection of how worship will change as boomers grow older.

Beyond Retirement: How Retirees Make the Best Evangelists

Friday, April 13, 2018
10:00 am—12:00 Noon
Presenter:  Will Randolph, Director of Aging and Older-Adult Ministries

Google “Baby Boomer Evangelism,” and you will not find much, because the church has largely forgotten this virtually untapped army of volunteers who have time, experience, and passion for evangelism.  Why? Because many of our retired and retiring adults have never been trained in relationship evangelism techniques, and these techniques have often focused upon young-adult evangelism. This webinar specifically focuses upon how to recruit, train, and develop retirees to help in your disciple-making efforts and how to use retirees strategically to improve the outreach ministry of the church. This webinar features the stories of five retirees who have been successful in sharing their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.
