The General Commission on United Methodist Men has created a webinar to help us learn about a new way to reach men. Webinars are widely used in today’s workplace. Many of us may not be comfortable with the technology and thus we cut ourselves off from the very people who are missing in our men’s groups, the younger men who are NOT retired, but are still working to support their families.

Webinar Topic: Combining Wesley’s Class Meeting with Technology
Time: Thursday, February 1 at 7:00 PM Central Time
This webinar will introduce us to a new way to reach men and the Class Meeting Ministry Program that will appeal to many younger men.

The webinar is a combination of material on the vital role The Class Meeting model in transforming men in our connection, and an introduction to the technology that makes any of our meetings more accessible.  The presenter is Gil Hanke, from the General Commission on United Methodist Men, who participates in multiple electronic meetings every week, and who believes The Class Meeting model is our most transformational tool that actually makes disciples.  The target audience are those who have limited experience with the Class Meeting book by Dr. Kevin Watson, and/or have limited experience using available video conferencing technology to create and conduct electronic meetings.

You must register in advance of the webinar.  It is very important that you register so you will get the logon information:

To register go to: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_yqJd2f1GSEadQCExWV5sgQ

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.  Please note that the way the webinar works is that you will be able to hear and see, but will not be able to talk in your microphone.  You will be able to chat or ask questions online.
