by Rev. Jody Topping, Pastor, Faith UMC, Phoenix

Want to learn something about the politico-religious situation in the Holy Land? Then attend Rev. Jody Topping’s workshop as she shares some of her own insights from her recent pilgrimage to Israel. Is caring for others in your church and community who are dealing with life-changing challenges more to your liking? Then join Rev. Patti Blackwood and Pastoral Assistant Leigh Downing as they share ways you can offer support and compassion. Do you have a desire to experience more depth in your prayer life? To deepen your relationship with God? Then perhaps Rev. Rock Fremont’s workshop on Centering Prayer is more your cup of tea. Whatever your interest, it’s likely our West District Day of Learning will be able to increase your depth of knowledge and broaden your perspective on those topics that are of interest.

But wait! There’s more! Because in addition to expanding our learning horizons, this Day of Learning is a great opportunity to connect with friends – both old and new – from other United Methodist Churches – your brothers and sisters in Christ in the West Valley. There will be many opportunities for you to be in fellowship with others who attend. Yes, our West District Day of Learning will be a great opportunity to share in what we do best: being connectional as United Methodists.

So register today! Because not only is increased knowledge key to a good life, but being in fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ is key to developing deeper relationships with God and with each other. We hope you will join us for this exciting opportunity.
