Prayer sprouts seeds of new possibility and grows in us like grace, let us sow seeds of prayer for our Church, our community, and our world as we prepare for Annual Conference 2018:
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body.
The Body of Christ at peace, deep abiding peace that surpasses all understanding, the quiet and tranquility that holds the soul so that the image of God can be reflected back clearly for all the world to see, this is the prayer of Colossians 3:15. As we prepare for Annual Conference 2018, how might we seek this peace, inhabit this prayer, as part of the body of Christ? What does peace look like in your life? How will you let the peace of Christ rule in your heart?
A prayer for peace:
God of Peace,
In the rush of the day,
In the crush of the week,
In the midst of the crowd,
In the gridlock of traffic,
Between deadlines and headlines,
Before assumptions and presumptions,
Teach us your ways of being and seeing,
Of listening and hearing,
Of seeking and knowing,
Your peace which surpasses all understanding,
Your peace which overcomes,
which gracefully resists, which willingly persists,
Let Your peace rule our hearts. Amen.
