The Rev. Mark Conrad, Missional Strategist and Superintendent of the South District, announced that Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata intends to appoint the Rev. James Perdue as the senior pastor of San Pedro Valley United Methodist Church, Benson Arizona, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Bisbee Arizona, effective July 1, 2018 per paragraph 346.1 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. This appointment is a two point charge. Rev. Perdue is currently serving at the General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church. Please pray for Rev. Perdue, San Pedro Valley UMC, Benson AZ, and Trinity UMC, Bisbee AZ, during this time of transition.
The Rev. Daniel R. Morley, Missional Strategist and Superintendent of the North District, announced that Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata intends to appoint Local Pastor James Nelson as the associate pastor of Mesquite UMC in Mesquite, Nevada, effective July 1, 2018 per paragraph 318.2 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. Pastor Nelson is currently serving Holbrook UMC in Holbrook, Arizona and First UMC in Winslow, Arizona as a two-point-charge.
