Colossians 3:12-15 – NIV

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Prayer:

What is it to be Thankful?  We have so much! I can’t even begin to Thank God for all I have. It is because of Him, that I have a great life. Every day I get up and I send my thanks to God. I have a wonderful family, an awesome church, I have been blessed with a musical talent, I was never blessed with children, but I have some beautiful fur babies, and a truly big one, I am a survivor of cancer. God has truly blessed me.

So now it is your turn, what are you thankful for? Don’t think about material things, think about all those other intangibles that God has given you. Your spouse, children, friends, talents, church, your life.

Are you thankful for the relationship you have with God? Are you thankful for seen and unseen? Are you thankful for the air you breathe, the country we live in, the life you have?  Praising God for all of it!

Psalm 9:1

I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart: I will tell of your wonders.

Psalm 138 – UM Hymnal

I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
Before the gods I sing your praise;

I bow down toward your holy temple

And give thanks to your name for your steadfast

Love and faithfulness

For you have exalted your name
And your word above everything.

On the day I called, you answered me,

You strengthened my life.

Oh, Holy God, I thank you for all I have. You give me breath and life and love. Words cannot express my gratitude, just thank you so much! I am nothing without you. I praise your name every minute, hour, and day. Hallelujah! Amen!
