The Rev. N. Susan Brims, Missional Strategist and Superintendent of the East District, announced that Bishop Robert T. Hoshibata intends to appoint the Rev. Mel Munchinsky as the interim senior pastor of First United Methodist Church in Mesa, Arizona, effective July 1, 2018, per paragraph 357.6 of the 2016 Book of Discipline. Rev. Munchinsky is currently serving in retirement. Please pray for Rev. Munchinsky and First UMC, Mesa during this time of transition.
