Kimber Govett has been assigned to Sunrise United Methodist Church as a Lay Person Assigned and is working toward her Local Pastor License. She has worked in Children and Family Ministry for over 20 years in both The United Methodist Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America denominations. She has always felt called to work with the youngest disciples in our faith and recently have been called to a larger leadership role in the church.

They are empty- nesters and loving it! Kimber grew up in Northern Michigan in a family who taught her how to love God and neighbor and passed on a faith that she feels called to share with others. Stephen and Kimber love to go on hikes around this beautiful state and watch movies. She also enjoys playing and listening to music, and loves the theater!
Kimber is excited to be serving Sunrise UMC and looks forward to the wonderful journey in ministry that lies ahead!
