The Desert Southwest Conference and most of the United Methodist Churches in the Southern Nevada Cluster support Nevadans for the Common Good (NCG) based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The NCG organization seeks out the needs in the community and along with the churches and other non-profits helps find solutions for those needs to improve the community. Seventeen federal and state candidates are confirmed to participate in an accountability action presentation on October 18th at 6:30 p.m., located at West Prep Academy, 2050 Sapphire Stone Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106.
Gubernatorial, congressional, and state legislative candidates have been invited. The current priorities established by the churches and other non-profits are healthcare, educational, housing, immigration, and transportation issues.
