As delegates to the June 2018 Annual Conference session may remember, the following resolution was approved:
Whereas many of the Desert Southwest Annual Conference (DSAC) rules have not been updated since the formation of the Conference and contain outdated and inconsistent language; therefore, be it
Resolved, that the DSAC Rules Committee be directed to review all DSAC rules and submit a comprehensive revision of editorial changes for approval via written vote between annual conference sessions.
Based on that resolution, the Rules Committee drafted proposed editorial changes that have been distributed to all delegates to the 2018 Annual Conference session for their review. On December 1, 2018, the final document with all proposed editorial changes to our Annual Conference rules will be distributed to these same delegates for a vote. All 2018 Clergy and Lay Members to Annual Conference will be asked to approve the changes, not approve them, or abstain from voting. Voting will close at midnight on December 31, 2018.
So, if you were a delegate to last June’s Annual Conference session, please keep your eyes out for an e-mail communication from Rev. Jen Lambert, Conference Secretary, on December 1, 2018.
