December 7th and 8th Holy Huddles with Bishop Hoshibata

The next North District Clergy Holy Huddle (clergy only) on the Future of the Church is Friday, December 7th, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, at Trinity UMC, 6151 West Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV.

The next North District Lay and Clergy Holy Huddle on the Future of the Church is this Saturday, December 8th from 1:00-4:30 p.m. at Trinity UMC, 6151 West Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV. Clergy are required to attend both a Clergy Only and a Lay and Clergy Holy Huddle. For churches with more than one clergy, both associate pastors and senior pastors of all charges are expected to be present. If clergy are unable to be present for any of the planned Holy Huddles, please send a written request to be excused to Bishop Bob by email at bishop@dscumc.org or mail 1550 E. Meadowbrook Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85014. Please send a copy to your District Superintendent.

These sessions of holy conferencing will be a time of dialogue and conversation, not a time for statements or debates.

What to Bring

Bishop Bob requests that clergy* bring a chalice to the combined Lay and Clergy Holy Huddle and the lay leader or a designated lay person from each church bring a small cross.  *Deacons are welcome to bring a pitcher and basin if they wish.

Childcare

If anyone needs child care for the combined Lay and Clergy Holy Huddle, please contact your district office by the Thursday, 4 p.m. prior to the Lay and Clergy Holy Huddle to let Gwen Watson, gwatson@dscumc.org, know how many children, names and what ages. Childcare will not be provided for the Clergy Only Holy Huddle.
