Beginning February 1, 2019, the District and Conference newsletters will be combined into one single newsletter that will be published on the first Friday of every month. If you are currently subscribed to any of the Conference newsletters, you’ve been added to the subscriber list for the Conference-wide newsletter.
Why are we combining the newsletters?
Several of us had a desire to incorporate our communications processes to better connect the local church, District, and Conference to the mission and vision of the Desert Southwest Conference. We also heard from local church leadership about the stress of managing so many emails. We have this amazing vision for the Conference and we’re all working towards it but in our own way. Some of us starting thinking and wondering what would it look like if we all worked together towards the same goal. What if we combined efforts and decreased some of the duplicate work? What if our messaging was all part of the one vision implementation? How would that impact our collaboration and impact?
From that dreaming and collaboration, a new newsletter emerged that will only be published once a month and replaces the district and Conference newsletters. In addition to the single, monthly newsletter, you’ll start seeing more communication via social media and a revamp of the District websites.
