860+ delegates from United Methodist Churches around the world gathered Feb. 23rd-26th to discuss plans for a way forward for the denomination.
The Connectional Ministries Office will be offering General Conference 2019 information processing event on March 7th and 8th by Zoom. These information events will go from 6:00pm-7:45pm MST, and include a summary of what happened, legislation passed, judicial council process, denominational updates, and Desert Southwest Conference steps forward as well as a Question and Answer time. Attendees will receive the powerpoint presentation and additional resources to use with their churches and other interested groups.
Though there are many strong opinions about what happened, this will not be a forum for sharing those opinions, the purpose is simply to inform, connect people to the various responses and resources, and answer questions.
