In Memory of Mrs. Gayla Remp

Photo of Mrs. Gayla RempIn sadness, we share the news that Mrs. Gayla Remp, the wife of the late Rev. Robert (Bob) Remp, died on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Mrs. Remp was born in 1937 and raised Methodist from infancy. She and Rev. Remp were married in 1962 and celebrated 55 years together. She was fond of telling the story about how she influenced her husband who was raised Catholic to become a United Methodist. They founded Chino Valley United Methodist Church in 1989 and Mrs. Remp served Christ her whole life and gave tirelessly of herself on behalf of others. She is survived by her three children Kelly, Andy, and Maggie.

Rev. Remp was born in 1938. He became a licensed local pastor in 1986 and served at Prescott: Prescott UMC; in 1989 he was the founding pastor of Chino Valley UMC in Chino Valley; in 1993, he was admitted as an associate member; and in 2008 he retired. Rev. Remp died in 2017.

A memorial service will take place on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 11:30 am at Chino Valley United Methodist Church, 735 East Road 1 S, Chino Valley, AZ 86323. A luncheon reception will immediately follow the service.
