I was born and raised in a third-generation Korean Methodist family and went on to attend and graduate from seminary in Korea. After receiving my ordination as an elder also in Korea, the next five years I continued my studies in evangelical theology in Germany. Then an invitation from the United States came to start a mission for college students in Tucson, Arizona.
Once I relocated to the U.S., I planted the Tucson Korean United Methodist Fellowship (KUMF) and was appointed as an in-state missionary for Koreans from the GBGM. After working for four years as a missionary, I then transferred to the Desert Southwest Annual Conference and served as a pastor in the Tucson area for eighteen and a half years. In 2012, I was appointed to the Arizona Korean UMF in Phoenix and led the congregation there for seven years.
Currently, I am serving as the senior pastor at the AGOMS UMF in Las Vegas. I am married to my wonderful wife Mu-kil and have two children. In my free time, I enjoy hiking and traveling.
