Lay Servant MinistriesLay Servants are to serve the local church or charge in any way in which their witness or leadership and service inspires the laity to deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. Classes are offered monthly in the four districts of the Desert Southwest Conference. Click here for a complete schedule and to register.

Lay Servant Ministries is one of the most significant lay leadership development programs already available within the United Methodist connection. Through this system of equipping and empowering, lay servants have the opportunity to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ who then go and make other disciples. After taking the Introduction to Lay Ministry: The BASIC Course, there are a wide variety of Advanced courses for continues study and training.
