Kairos Outside (KO) is a ministry designed to support women who have incarcerated loved ones or who have been incarcerated themselves. KO believes these women are “doing time” right along with their loved ones. Kairos Outside is intended to let women know that there is a community that cares about them and their needs. KO provides a safe place for women to share their situations, struggles, and concerns with each other. We hope Kairos Outside will help them find strength for their life journey and give them a chance to find and build relationships that may last a lifetime.

A Kairos Outside weekend begins on Friday evening at 6:00 pm and continues until Sunday afternoon at 3:00 pm. The weekend is a series of talks by women sharing their testimonies. Each guest has the opportunity to review the talk in small groups; however, sharing in the small group is voluntary. The weekend is interspersed with music, prayer, fun activities, and general pampering.

Team members include two Clergy members who lead devotions, prayer, worship, and forgiveness services. If you would like more information or are interested in serving on this life-giving and important ministry, please contact Elizabeth Weir, Kairos Outside, Advisory Council Spiritual Advisor at lzbthweir@yahoo.com or 480-219-3615.
