Last week we completed the third of our District Administrative Committee Training Webinars. They have been a great opportunity for local committee chairs and members to connect for learning across the Desert Southwest Conference. We have hosted webinars of Finance, Simplified Structure, and Trustees. There will be a fourth for the Staff Parish Relations Committee still being developed. You do not need to attend a workshop to use the training videos. They are available any time you wish to view them or share them. You are encouraged to visit the conference website to watch the training videos and review the resources provided, https://dscumc.org/initiative/itraining/.

The training has been broken up into video segments of 10-20 minutes each. Committees might consider reviewing one or two segments at a monthly committee meeting. As you watch the video any questions or comments you might have can be shared with the presenter or with the District office.

It is our hope that these videos will provide a resource that you can use throughout the year to help you be more effective in your local church committee.
