In sadness, we share the news that Rev. Sande Kimbel died on Friday, March 20, 2020.
Rev. Kimbel was an ordained elder in the Desert Southwest Conference. She graduated from the University of Colorado and University of Illinois Chicago Circle. She attended seminary at Fuller Theological Seminary and graduated in 2013. She was admitted on probation to the Desert Southwest Conference the same year she graduated. She served at Sun City, AZ: Willowbrook UMC and was admitted as a member in full connection in 2016. Rev. Kimbel is survived by her husband Bruce.
Rev. Kimbel was a very caring pastor who was deeply loved by her congregation. She taught a number of classes and spent time with people in their times of need. She was a private person who wanted the focus to be on the people she served rather than on herself.
A memorial service will be held at a future date.
