The stafPotosi Pines Campersf at Mingus Mountain and Potosi Pines are holding you in our thoughts and are praying for your continued health and well-being during these chaotic times. With the many changes happening on a day-to-day basis we also wanted to bring a message of hope for summer camp at our camp sites. As of today, we’re still planning on holding our regularly scheduled camp sessions at both Mingus and Potosi and would like to invite you to join us. Registration is open and available here. We do anticipate making some modifications to how we offer camp—such things as phone health checks prior to the camp session, increased emphasis on personal health and hygiene, and enhanced cleaning and sanitizing procedures to help keep all of our campers and staff healthy. Please note, that any payments made now will be refunded in full if the camp session is cancelled and/or if the camper is ill.

In the meantime, we’re excited to share this unique collaboration, a Virtual Day Camp which is a free resource and growing website with United Methodist camp staff contributors from right here in the Desert Southwest as well as the rest of the country. This website is designed to be a fun, life-affirming, positive and faith-filled place for campers of all ages. Some of the available sessions are suitable for the camper to participate on their own and there are some sessions which are great for the whole family.

Additionally, we’ve got a lot going on in social media and we invite you to follow us on Facebook at  Mingus Mountain United Methodist Camp and Retreat Center and Potosi Pines United Methodist Camp and Instagram at Mingus Mountain Camp and Potosi Pines Camp.

Join us today by registering for summer camp, participating in the Virtual Day Camp and following or liking us on our social media platforms. We earnestly desire to walk alongside you and your family as we traverse through these times. Let us all remember the peace promised by God as we pray the words of Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

With Grace & Camp Love,

Cat Holbert, Executive Director
Tracey Brown, Director at Potosi Pines
Annie Warner, Assistant Director at Mingus Mountain
Dina Reid, DSC Camping Administrative Assistant
