Desert Southwest Annual Conference, I pray all is well during this pandemic season. As you know, General Conference 2020 was scheduled to begin May 5, 2020. Although as Reconciling Methodist, we were anticipating that date to signal the dawn of a new ERA of full inclusion in the UMC, due to the COVID 19 pandemic, this will not be the case just yet. God has spoken with a pregnant pause NOT yet, BE STILL.
So how are we to move faithfully forward when so much seems to be up in the air, and the liberation of God’s LGBTQIA children is delayed? How is the Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) handling this? FAITHFULLY…
On Tuesday, May 5, at 5:00 PM, RMN is holding a celebratory virtual Be Still and Know worship experience and capital campaign featuring leaders throughout the Reconciling Movement and our worldwide UMC connection. As the Vice-Chair of RMN’s Board of Directors, I have the privilege and honor of leading what I pray will be a prayerful, high energy, and meaningful worship experience featuring Marcia Mcfee, Mark Miller, Lydia Munoz, and Bishop Karen Oliveto.
