While COVID-19 has been dominating our sharing from statistics to empty pews, as we all know the news marches on. Unemployment figures on the rise, businesses reopening in a “new normal” fashion. People who have lost jobs are starting to find jobs. Those furloughed are starting to be called back. Still other remain unemployed or are losing their positions. Racially motivated attacks continue, demanding our action and our prayers.
As United Methodists, we find our roots in justice and mission. For many, those particular roots are why we are members of this denomination. “Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” ~ John Wesley
Our denomination, one that is still struggling to determine its’ future. So much is going on everywhere we turn.
Some of us could do well with less news. Others want to know more, or at least be made aware. One of the ways you can know more is through our Desert Southwest Conference Facebook groups and pages. Group members and staff post articles. There’s room to comment and support, or even (respectfully please J ) debate a little. Below is a list of the groups associated with mission and justice topics. We would love to have you join. We want to build these groups into strong centers of information sharing and support. Thank you!

Thank you. Be well, be safe.
