This year’s Annual Conference Mission Project 2020 on water relief for the Navajo Reservation was unprecedented in generosity.
Our churches gave with all their hearts, and we closed the project with a grand total of $111,856.09 at the end of July.
Correction! Our churches and friends gave with all their hearts. United Methodist churches from Texas, Indiana, Colorado, California, Washington, and Virginia participated. We even had a few non-United Methodists from Facebook and elsewhere donate. The Spirit was truly moving through the hearts of so many people. The Navajo Nation continues to express their gratitude, as does Bishop Hoshibata and the rest of our Cabinet and staff. Our Conference is AMAZING!
With that said – know that heartfelt prayers of gratitude and safety are being sent your way. There is so much to celebrate as the Desert Southwest Conference, but we especially celebrate you, our members, and friends. I believe in our Conference – for such a time as this. Thank you.
