Silver Sessions
DSC Camp & Retreat Ministries is pleased to offer Silver Sessions, twice-monthly online zoom sessions designed for seniors who are hoping to gather, connect, and learn something new. Each month will bring something new with variety including Cooking with a Chef, Paint Parties, Historical Lectures, Astronomy Lessons, Virtual Games, and more!
For the upcoming session, Tuesday, March 2nd from 2:00 – 3:00 pm MST, we are joining Jennifer Barber, DSCUMC Conference Archivist, for a presentation on, “Trials, Temptations, and Sweet Communications with God: Tales from 150 years of Methodism in Arizona and Southern Nevada”. In the fall of 1870, Methodist missionaries arrived in Arizona. This time they stayed – establishing a Methodist foothold that would endure and grow over the next 150 years. Join us to hear tales from 1,100-mile circuits, of how the laity kept the work of God alive, the early and continuous support of social justice issues, of the strong women who accomplished more than ever given credit for, and many more stories – all accomplished with an unwavering belief in the grace of God.

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 30th for a Hymn Sing from 2-3 pm with Barry and Nicole Isbell! Barry is a lifelong church musician who currently serves as the Minister of Music at Advent UMC in Las Vegas. He has been a music educator for 28 years. His choirs have performed in music festivals across the country, winning high honors and accolades for their performances. Nicole serves in the music ministry at Advent UMC. She is a current volunteer vocalist with the Las Vegas Master Singers, and a former member of the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society.

North District Women’s Retreat at Potosi Pines – It’s Time!

– VIP Rooms $60/night – 2 single beds, linens included, private restroom, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker. Grill available.
– Retreat Cabin $120/night – 6 bedrooms, 12 beds available, bring your own linens, 2 restrooms, kitchen with oven/stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large gathering area with fireplace.
