Last year’s Annual Conference Mission Project was a success during the usual Annual Conference giving period. But the joy carried on! The generosity of our Conference has continued, and as we draw the 2020 mission project to a close, with gratitude we report a final total of $121,161.31! What an amazing witness from God’s people! Mel Rodis, Assistant Attorney General of the Navajo Department of Justice, recently shared his thoughts:

“Thank you so much for your additional donation. The generosity of your Conference and members has been tremendous and inspiring. I want to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude. This means so much to the Navajo Nation and the Navajo People. Many blessings upon you and your members. Thank you for keeping the Navajo People in your thoughts and prayers. You all will be in mine as well.”

Thank you to all of our churches for your giving hearts. As we move forward to this year’s Mission Project in support of student hunger and our campus ministries response (https://dscumc.org/blog/2021/03/15/annual-conference-mission-project-student-hunger), we pray for the health of our entire Conference members and attendees. Moving through the pandemic has been challenging, but God is with us and there is hope.

There are bright days ahead! Be well and thank you on behalf of our Conference and the Navajo people.
