How to Do Hybrid Online/In-Person Worship Well

by | Apr 20, 2021 | South District Newsletter

As COVID-19 statistics allow us to move more fully into in-person gatherings, pastors and churches face the challenge of continuing to do online worship well. People experience worship online differently than they do in-person, and what works in your sanctuary or worship space may not translate well to the people watching at home. Doing online worship well means more than just livestreaming your in-person service.

Jason Moore recently led a webinar for the Desert Southwest Conference on strategies for effectively leading hybrid online/in-person worship. A recording of the webinar and other resources are available to Desert Southwest Conference pastors and churches. For access to these helpful resources, please contact Rev. Matt Ashley, South District Superintendent at mashley@dscumc.org.
