To help build strong bonds between kids and dads, Mingus Mountain is offering this fun and relaxing weekend. This camp will be a time and space set apart for kids to participate in positive, outdoor activities with their fathers and grandfathers; there will be hikes, campfires, games, archery, pumpkin carving and more! Announcements & News at Camp & Retreat Ministries

The Desert Southwest Conference is excited to welcome our new Assistant Treasurer, Matt Kuss! Many of us at the Conference office have worked with Matt over the past two years in his role as Branch Manager of the Phoenix office of the Interfaith Credit Union. Matt is detail-oriented, has great character, and is a real team player. During COVID, he consistently helped the Conference by receiving deliveries, admitting visitors, and informing us of building issues when no Conference staff were present. These were clearly not the duties of a tenant in our building, but he did them because it was the right thing to do. Matt has consistently demonstrated great interpersonal skills and a caring attitude.

Matt has an MBA and an undergraduate degree in small business administration with broad experience running a family business and spend some of his time as a stay-at-home dad. Matt lives with his wife (Angie), son (Oliver, 12), and daughter (Finley, 10), about 5 minutes from the Conference office, he will undoubtedly have the shortest commute of any of our staff! Welcome, Matt!

Retreats at Camp

Potosi Pines and Mingus Mountain are the perfect locations to hold retreats! Come and enjoy the serenity and peacefulness of our beautiful locations. Plan your own retreat or let our staff help with programming and schedules; we can accommodate groups of 20 or more. If an overnight stay does not fit into your schedule, consider a day retreat! We can help plan your staff retreat, family camp, youth retreat, and more.

Camp is also a great getaway for a mid-week clergy retreat. Mingus Mountain offers two motel-style VIP rooms, complete with 2 single beds each, bed linens, towels, and private bathrooms.
