Commission on Communication Survey Request

by | Nov 2, 2021 | Not In USe

With a vision of clear, concise communications and ample resources to support the ministry of the Desert Southwest Conference and church leadership, the Desert Southwest Conference (DSC) Commission on Communication is dedicated to the mission of developing disciples of Christ through intentional, fierce communication and accountable leadership. The team’s core values are honesty, integrity, open dialogue, boldness, and inspired leadership.

Steadily through the summer, the DSC Commission on Communication developed a strategic direction to guide the work of improving communications. It was a massive undertaking and important as communication is an integral part of everything we do! The dedicated team’s goal is to make the vision a reality and we need your help to fulfill the goals for everyone from congregants to clergy.

Clergy and laity in our database are to receive an emailed invitation to fill out a short survey about their current communication habits and preferences. That request includes a brief message and invitation to share the survey request with their church membership and participants. We’ll use the feedback to make informed decisions on tactics to improve communications in all aspects. We’ll also share the feedback with churches to support their communications process too.

If you are a DSC pastor, the church lay leader, or communications staff, please watch for the survey and complete it right away. If you have a question about the study or the DSC Commission on Communication, please contact the Commission Chair, Cheri Hull, at cychull@gmail.com or Christina Dillabough, Director of Communications, at cdillabough@dscumc.org.
