“The front door to the church” is the place people go to check out the congregation. It used to be the actual front door. Then it became the church’s website. Now it’s the church’s online service. Because of COVID 19, most churches in the Desert Southwest Conference went to worshipping online. They worked hard to provide the best service they could. Since the recent return to in-person worship, clergy are wondering if an online presence is still necessary. You might have heard someone say, “It takes so much of my time to plan both online and in-person worship. Is it worth the effort?” Not only is it worth it, but it’s also necessary. But how do you do both? Jason Moore has some answers!
Jason has been working with UMC Conferences sharing his learnings about online and in-person worship. He gave a presentation to the Desert Southwest churches last February. The Vital Faith Conference team provides another opportunity to learn from Jason on January 27, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM MST. It will be a zoom meeting. He will not be going over old material. So, if you didn’t attend the February meeting, Jason recorded it and will release it 30 days before the next meeting.
BOTH/AND to be continued is new material for churches who feel weary, ready to give up, or ready to stop hybrid because people are back in the building. This training gets deeper into “why” and “how” to build a BOTH/AND Think Tank. Jason covers creating an intentional strategy and provides the top five priorities to focus on for continued sustainability.
