Post Christmas worship for local church use

“Light in the Darkness”

To give our clergy a day off, the Desert Southwest Conference is once again providing a worship resource to be used on the Sunday after Christmas or New Year’s Eve. You can use all or parts of the worship service resources to customize the service as you wish. The resources will be available for download on Tuesday, December 14, by 5:00 PM at dscumc.org/worship. The entire worship recording as a plug-and-play resource will be available for download by Thursday, December 16.

We need local church music performance recordings by December 13.

If your church has one or more musical performances recorded that would fit well in this service, please contact Rev. Dan Morley at dmorely@dscumc.org or Rev. Dave McPherson at dmcpherson@dscumc.org. Ideally, the recording is copyright-free or an original song with written permission for the Desert Southwest Conference churches to include in their worship streaming or in-person service. Songs covered in the CCLI copyright and streaming licenses are also welcome. Click here to download the sermon script to understand the service and theme better.

We are very grateful for all submissions, but we can see from the list below that we can only use four recordings. For this reason, not all submissions will be used but received with heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.
