The Connectional Church

We are a Connectional Church. Our United Methodist tradition is rooted in relationships between people, local churches, conferences, jurisdictions, General Conference, and other United Methodist organizations. Registration is required for each webinar, the links are below.

Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

In this webinar, we’ll watch and discuss a recorded video from Bishop Grant Hagiya on the why and how this value and practice of Connectionalism began in our Methodist movement. We’ll discuss why Connectionalism is important to the work of our church in making disciples and transforming the world, and about why we need the Connection now more than ever.

Saturday, March 5, 2021 from 9:00-10:30 AM

The Rev. Dan Hurlbert talks to us about concerns around General Conference and the future of our denomination. Will General Conference happen in 2022? What does it mean if it doesn’t? What are the various plans that will be presented for a vote at the next General Conference? Answers to these questions and many more will be shared during this workshop.
