by | Nov 12, 2022 | Death Announcements

From the Office of Bishop Grant J. Hagiya

CORRECTION: The time of the service is 2:00 PM MST.

In sadness, we share the news that Mrs. Sally West, a lay member in the Desert Southwest Conference, died on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Mrs. Sally West was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Tucson, AZ where she was an active volunteer. Sally was a super organizer in whatever ministries she participated in. She served as the South District Administrative Assistant for sixteen years, helping four District Superintendents support the ministries of South District Churches. After retiring, Sally volunteered in the church office at St. John’s United Methodist Church, in Tucson until her passing – even though it wasn’t her home church. Sally served on numerous committees and ministry teams at the local church, district, and conference level. She also mentored young people as a youth ministry volunteer at Christ Church UM, Pine Canyon Camp, and Young People’s Convention (YPC). And Sally was a key supporter of Strength for the Journey. In her free time Sally enjoyed gardening, but even more she loved spending time with Dave, her daughters, her grandchildren, and the rest of her family.
