The Rev. Melissa Rynders, Missional Strategist and Superintendent of the East District, announced that Bishop Grant J. Hagiya intends to appoint the Rev. Jonathan Arnpriester to serve as senior pastor at Paradise Valley United Methodist Church in Paradise Valley, AZ, effective January 15, 2023. Rev. Arnpriester is currently serving at Chandler United Methodist Church, in Chandler, AZ.
The Rev. Dottie Escobedo-Frank was elected as a bishop at the Western Jurisdiction Conference and will begin her assignment to the California-Pacific Conference on January 1, 2023.
