While we have moved through the holidays and into the new year, the Ukraine continues to face severe Russian aggression. Many of our churches participated in the Day of Prayer for Ukraine on November 6th; others have chosen an upcoming date in tune with their own church calendar for prayer and donations.
We continue, both privately and in congregational settings, to pray for the people of Ukraine and for the Ukrainian United Methodist clergy and congregations who continue to do God’s work there. The clergy there are beyond grateful for the power of our prayers and the power of our support. Resources are available as noted below as well as various articles on our website – search Ukraine.
If you would like to help financially, an Advance has been established specifically to support Ukraine: #14053A. These dollars can be accessed by the Ukrainian UMC clergy and directed to help raise and recover the local economy.
