Come to the Table

Are you looking for worship ideas and inspiration for this fall?  In August, the office of New and Vital Faith will host a virtual training with Marcia McFee called “Come to the Table.”  You’ll get ideas and even a full 5-week scripted worship service for September through World Communion Sunday.  We want to make sure that every church that is interested in this training can participate, so please register no later than July 10th if you (clergy, staff, or laity) are interested in this training.

Here’s more information:

In our current world of online and hybrid worship, churches need and appreciate support more than ever. As a regional leader, you may be yearning to provide support for…

  1. Pastors who are struggling with burnout and need creative inspiration for leadership and worship
  2. Churches with dwindling attendance and low participation
  3. Worship staff and volunteers who need support for facilitating online and hybrid worship
  4. Communities experiencing high anxiety and needing inspiration and renewed energy for their work

We can help them create worship that connects, comforts, ignites, and energizes people.

This is a synchronous and asynchronous event to maximize accessibility! Read on to find out how to equip the churches in your care with continuing education training for worship.

Dr. Marcia McFee here, long-time worship designer and educator of worship in the UMC, UCC, MCC, DOC, PCUSA, ELCA, UU, and other mainline denomination networks. In 2023, I’m celebrating 30 years of teaching and 15 years of my ministry, the Worship Design Studio!

Each year, I host a 3-day educational worship planning retreat that helps pastors and worship teams cast the vision for their worship plans in the liturgical year to come and learn leadership strategies for offering meaningful and memorable worship experiences to the people they serve. This year, my retreat will be live-streamed from Kansas City, MO on August 13-16, 2023, and I’m drawing the circle wide to invite as many churches as are interested to be present at this online retreat.
