The South District of the Southwest Desert Conference of the United Methodist Church is pleased to announce it will be offering:
What: For the Common Good: Spiritual Gifts
When: Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
Where: Christ Church UM, 655 N Craycroft, Tucson, AZ 85711
Class Size Limit: 15 participants
This course offers a scriptural understanding of spiritual gifts as always given “for the common good.” Participants will learn to identify and link their gifts, abilities, and sense of calling. It is a required class on the path to becoming a Certified Lay Speaker. The text: For the Common Good: Discovering and Using Your Spiritual Gifts by Christine Harman is required reading for this program.
The cost of this course is $15.00 and is payable upon registration by:
- Credit or debit card – there is a $1.00 processing fee.
- Check – by sending payment to: DSCUMC, c/o Conference Treasurer, PO Box 32830, Phoenix, AZ 85064, with instructions to deposit into the South District LSM account. Include a copy of your registration with the check. No cash or checks will be handled at the class site. Do not mail to the District Director.
- Prepaid credit is available (verify with your District Director)
