Annual Conference

This year’s Annual Conference will occur on June 13-16, 2024, at the Tucson Convention Center. Details about the event and hotel registration will be published soon. In the meantime, please take note of the following deadlines and instructions about how to submit legislation and pre-conference reports.

Deadlines per Journal Rules

  • Due on February 28: All petitions from local churches and individuals to DSC committees or agencies to bring matters (resolutions) before the Annual Conference
  • Due on February 28: All proposed rule changes from Conference boards and agencies
  • Due on April 30: All resolutions from boards, commissions, agencies, or five members of the Annual Conference acting together
  • Due on April 30: All reports from Conference boards and agencies

How to submit Petitions, Resolutions, or Rule Changes

Start the proposal for a resolution or rule change by downloading and filling out the Petitions, Resolutions, and Rules Template. Click here to download the template. Using the template ensures you have all the information ready and in the correct format. Then, use the appropriate online submission form linked below to turn in your final proposal. The online form will email a copy of the proposal to you, the Conference Secretary, and the Legislative Coordinator.

How to turn in Pre-Conference Reports

  • Click here to download the pre-conference report template and fill it out. The file is pre-formatted to follow the required margins, spacing, and type font, so please use that as your starting point to write your report. Save your revised Preconference_Report_Format file using the report title and the author’s name as the file name. For example, a report titled Update, written by Jane Doe would be saved as update-jane_doe.docx. Use the online submission form in the next section to submit your report as an MS Word document. Financial reports are the only exception and may be submitted as a PDF. This report will be included in the Journal in late summer 2024.
